Steven and Judy McGrath of Flying Flowers and Hamperbiz knew that shopping on the internet was the way of the future, but like many business owners they had no idea about how to make an internet business happen.

“We were originally a mail order company and had been in business for more than 20 years,” says Steven. “We had a website which wasn’t much more than a shop front to begin with – but we didn’t know good from bad or indifferent.”

The result
Steven says it took the company just six months to see a return on their investment. Not only is the vast bulk of business transacted over the internet, the company receives orders from around the world.
“When somebody places an order online it integrates with our accounting package, and credit card orders are processed by the bank automatically. As a result our business has grown substantially and customers comment favourably about the look of the site.
“The site supports special offers and promotions, and the content management system means the complex process of updating our eCommerce products daily is easy – without duplicate data entry.
The site also offers a flexible voucher code system.
