It depends on the that size of the file as to what technology we use. In most cases we create Dropbox.com account and put all the files that have been uploaded on the website to this account. Dropbox.com then synchronise and put those files on your desktop. Those files are also available on the Internet so you can get access to them anywhere in the world.
